The Dream of Flight
By Rainn Wang

Our desire to fly has inspired plenty of myths, legends and fantasies; by the same token aeronautics also takes off on the wings of imagination. The development of aeronautical technologies has grown beyond our expectation and changed global life style; it also accentuated intercommunication of modern culture and international community in 20th century.

Facing the gigantic light globe made of animated screen and mirror, viewers are about to enter a kaleidoscopic world where they can forget about the reality. We stand in front of the light globe like children, wondering if we are equipped with any sort of aeroengine: can we fly with the help of a balloon or bubble gum? In his childlike dreams of flying imagery, Ku might have the answer.

The artist opens up a whole space for individuals to communicate with
universe, technologies and internet world; the dialogues between isolated space and open environment ease our sense of perplexity and emptiness while encountering this infinite universe, and bring us joy of possible return to the womb of creation.

Animated imagery ceaselessly commutes between our mind and the universe,
carrying our body in the form of molecules and moving in high speed from one space to another. In a time when knowledge and imagination are expanding territories, a new coordinate is bound to soar with the possibility of our mind and spirit.
